Ok, I'm running in to lots of thorns while creating a wiki from the ground up. I need a scratch pad for it all, so that's going to be the use of my comment box for the time being.

I'm a huge fan of wikis. As an early adopter of Davis Wiki, I learned the power of this medium. During my thru-hike of the PCT, I became enamoured with the idea of creating a PCT Wiki. So, here it is.

2007-02-24 04:25:51   Wow, [WWW]PCTwiki is going to be a really good example of a common interest wiki. I can see it growing quickly and productively. Already I want to start adding pages to it and telling people about it. —JasonAller

2007-02-25 00:23:30   Thanks Jason! I really do think that it'll take off. It's such a great use for wiki. There's a huge community of PCTers online, lots of websites, a cluster-fck of information, etc. all that leads to the logical conclusion of a wiki. Can't wait for wikispot to go live :) —JackHaskel

2007-02-25 00:29:49   What's the deal with People vs Users? Same thing right? So why the people tab? And there's an issue with the users/person name thing. Because "person name" needs a redirect to the "user/person name". —JackHaskel

2007-02-25 00:31:28   I feel like many, many more pages should be included with the wikispot install. I'm spending tons of time transfering base pages from dwiki, as I think most wiki creators will wan to do. So, here's an ongoing list... —JackHaskel

2007-02-25 00:39:04   also, need a list of those included pages somewhere on wikispot. because once I deleted it from the front page, i need to look at my all pages to find what i lost —JackHaskel
