The Fairhaven High School Wiki (FHSWiki) provides a community site for sharing information about Fairhaven High School in Fairhaven, Mass.

The site provides a single focal point for alumni to share information about the schools past: faculty, staff, classes, students, history, and environs of the school.

The site is not intended for current students, activities or events at the school.

Developing School Alumni Category

The creator of this site saw an additional opportunity to create a new category of site with a distinct set of Templates, Includes, etc to provide a common framework for others to use WikiSpot for implementing School Alumni Sites. Typically, various class years construct sites specific to their graduating year and time at the school. The school itself, the former faculty, staff, and community have a more long-standing history. The common site allows individual classes, students, faculty, etc to contribute to the generations of folks who attended the school and the environment in which they attended. Further, as more recent class members become active, the maintenance and administration of the site will have a natural tendency to pass on. The collective history of a class need not die off because the class website "geek" could not longer provide or find a replacement. Sad part is, someday, no-one will be left alive to participate. The current Fairhaven HS was built in 1906, so any remaining alumni from the first class would be over 120 years old !!!
