A living archive of streets and people/object encounters
Seat Street People is a wiki for presenting, discussing and storing examples of the complex relationship between people, buildings and urban spaces.
The purpose being to collect and develop methods and models of designing for and supporting vital and active streets that function as the social catalyst for healthy and creative neighbourhoods.
In many cases the elements that make a street or place special are left unexamined or articulated. This wiki provides a space for those unnoticed corners, fleeting moments, unplanned gaps, glorious gestures, etc. to be presented, discussed and catalogued.
If enough examples, photos, drawings, recordings, text is gathered maybe patterns will emerge and new connections be made.
The content might suggest ways to organise itself, or contributors may.

2008-12-17 10:38:59 Howdy, and welcome to Wiki Spot. My name is Evan, pleased to meet you. I created the entry Seat Street People as a profile for your new wiki... feel free to fill in the missing information. If you have any questions, just ask — we're a friendly community here. Once again, welcome! —Evan 'JabberWokky' Edwards
