Bernhard Riemann was born on September 17,1826 in Germany. After living a solid forty years, Riemann passed away on July 20,1866 in Italy.

—The Life of Bernhard Riemann—

Bernhard Riemann was the second of six children, in a family with two boys and four girls. Living with his parents for a while, soon, his Grandmother took responsibility for him, and raised Bernhard Riemann. Soon after Bernhard Riemann came under care of his grandmother, she passed away, which caused Riemann to move to Luneberg.

Bernhard Riemann began education at an early age. Too smart to start in Kindergarten, Riemann was enrolled directly into the third grade, in Hannover. After his elementary, junior high and high school career, Riemann attended the University of Outtinger in Spring of 1846, majoring in Theology. After spending quite a while studying theology, his interest from theology began to fade, and Riemann found an interest in Mathematics. The start to a long career.
Bernhard Riemann pursued his study in Mathematics at Berlin University after attending the University of Outtinger. Bernhard Riemann pursued his education in Mathematics, and eventually graduated with a phD in 1849.
