Mary Hotaling is not a native, having lived in Saranac Lake only since 1977. She was a founder of Historic Saranac Lake and twice served as its Executive Director, for a total of about 16 years. She is working on an illustrated version of An Autobiography by E. L. Trudeau, due in 2015, the centennial of its original publication. She is the historian for the Town of Harrietstown, Franklin County, and is a frequent contributor to hsl.wikispot.
