What is it?
Gmail is an emailing service for Google and just used for emailing people and this is quite easy to use because it is just like other similar email services such as Hotmail and yahoo accounts.
How to make an account
To make an account you have to go to Google… and in the top right hand corner there will be a button that says ‘create an account’ you click on that and then fill in all of the details that it asks for. This will then take you to your Gmail account that you can start using straightaway.

There you can see what all of the buttons are on the screen and when you have your account you will get used to them and how to use the emailing service.
How to customise your account
When you have a Gmail account you can change the themes and customise it to your own style. You do this by going to the little picture of a cog and go down to the options where you can find themes, here you can pick from a number of different themes and backgrounds. To customise your own account.
