Help with Colors

Background colors can be useful for making tables stand out from the background. Since there are so many color options available, we have provided a table of color options that you may want to use as a quick reference.

The colors used in tables are the standard colors used in HTML. They are usually in hexadecimal format, but can also be given in normal English format ("gray" or "blue"), by using the long-winded HTML-style color tags (<bgcolor="red">, etc.). To use them in a table, put the hexadecimal code <#XXXXXX> (where the X's are the six digits for your color) or the plain html code <bgcolor="#XXXXXX"> inside the cell you want to make that color. Some of these colors may appear dark on your screen, in which case you can drag your cursor over them and highlight the text to make the numbers more visible.
