One of my favorite pictures of one of my favorite places!
David Grundler, an alumnus of
UC Berkeley (Go Bears!), relocated his family to
davis in May 2002. In December of 2007, David moved to the
Spring Lake community of
Woodland. David works for
Park, Vaughan & Fleming LLP (an intellectual property
law firm) performing patent prosecution, as well as: IT, telephony, and other miscellaneous functions. He is a member of the
Davis Bike Club, and serves on the board of the
Mad Cows Racing Team. As you can see from the picture, David does not sport your typical cyclist's physique; however, that does not stop him from trying the various
cycling rides around the area. No, he has not tried the infamous Mix Canyon climb, but might if he ever gets into great shape. He did, however, complete his first century ride on 2007-04-14. He and his sister completed the
Bike Around the Buttes century in
Sutter, California in the wind and never-ending rain. Ironically, the sun came out just as they were finishing the ride.
David has pledged 500 miles again for the 2008 iteration of the
Bike Commute Month, and encourages others to pledge what they can, even if it is only 36 miles (David's 2006 total).
David is one of those odd individuals that loves Disneyland with the enthusiasm of a young child. His last visit was on 2008-10-10.

2008-11-20 12:05:24 I had intended to use the green in the right arc to be the highlight color for Woodland. I'm not complaining, just pointing out it as a different option. I had thought the reddish brown was a bit dark for a highlight with black text. What's your opinion? —JabberWokky
2008-11-20 16:57:09 User Stats as presented in the table used to have intermittent issues with being slightly off for years. Since they were generally seen as a fairly useless metric and the actual stats are correct in the userinfo page (i.e., there weren't any audit or logging issues), they were a low priority bug. All that said, the totals were supposedly fixed several months back, and Jason (who had been carefully tracking his) has not noticed any problems since. Clearly they are still presenting an issue. Even when the old bug was there, they were only off by a small percent, not like what you have. —JabberWokky
2008-11-20 17:01:02 I think I was wrong about it having been fixed. Or possibly it was an informal "I think I fixed it, see if you still see the same problem". Philip notes that he couldn't reproduce the bug.
I updated the report with your case of it. —JabberWokky
2008-11-20 20:16:35 Thanks for helping with the contribution stuff. I think it's much more streamlined now, with minimal effect on the individual listings. —EdWins
