One of my favorite pictures of one of my favorite places!
David Grundler, an alumnus of
UC Berkeley (Go Bears!), relocated his family to
davis in May 2002. In December of 2007, David moved to the
Spring Lake community of
Woodland; however, David's Woodland stint was short lived. He relocated his family to
El Macero in July of 2010. David works for
Park, Vaughan & Fleming LLP (an intellectual property
law firm) performing patent prosecution, as well as: IT, telephony, and other miscellaneous functions. He is a member of the
Davis Bike Club, and serves on the board of the
Mad Cows Racing Team. As you can see from the picture, David does not sport your typical cyclist's physique; however, that does not stop him from trying the various
cycling rides around the area. No, he has not tried the infamous Mix Canyon climb, but might if he ever gets into great shape. He did, however, complete his first century ride on 2007-04-14. He and his sister completed the
Bike Around the Buttes century in
Sutter, California in the wind and never-ending rain. Ironically, the sun came out just as they were finishing the ride.
David is an avid supporter of
March Madness and
Bike Commute Month, and encourages others to pledge what they can, even if it is only 36 miles (David's 2006 Bike Commute Month total).
David's interests include:
-
Disneyland
-
Cal Football/Basketball
-
Oakland Athletics
-
Los Angeles Kings

2010-12-28 04:09:38 I will agree with you, on some points at least, and bow out of this. We both agree prices are too high at the theatres, while we squabble over the numbers. I don't know what the solution is, I don't know the loss v gain ratio on individual ticket sales or what the lowest profitable cost would be although I am sure it i lower than $11 +. It's just to the point where for me, and for many others it is now cost prohibitive to go to the theatre save for the once in a blue moon event. I waited 25 years for the sequel to Tron and can wait a bit longer for the DVD although it is one I would love to see on the big screen. One number that isn't disputed is the one million plus loss in overall ticket sales... maybe it's the films themselves not being up to snuff for the viewers, maybe it's the cost of a ticket and concessions... All I do know is that if that trend continues, sooner or later all involved will have to rework the system or it will fail.
Anyway, nice to meet you and know I was not trying to get into a text war with you, it's just the business aspect I don't like... Not you personally.
Take care. —Wes-P
