I returned to help move several WikiSpot wikis forward at the end of August, and was very active throughout September. During October we made it to 700 pages on BufWiki, and I intend to push harder. I hope others will join with me (;>} !!! |
My latest WikSpot project is a
Fairhaven High School Community Project for my alma-mater in Fairhaven, MA. I thought that a school-related wiki would be a better portal for Alumni and memories.
My "hope to get back to real soon" project is
Tithe Your Time - a work-in-progress to advance volunteerism and create a place for folks to share ideas and resources on the subject.
Other Wikis I Assist
-
Helped get BufWiki, the
Buffalo Wiki Guide started - see my
My UserPage.
-
I also helped out on the
Baton Rouge Wiki
-
Make occasional updates and edits on the
Syracuse and
Ithaca Wikis - other Rochester neighbor cities.
-
Also just jumped in to help the
Pawtucket RI wiki get started (I was born and brought up in southeastern Mass). We hit 100 pages on Oct 4th.

2009-10-05 13:42:13 Hi I am a student at Buffalo State and you edited my page (bufwiki)and I wish you wouldn't have, its for a class and a grade. I am working with another student and we have to create and edit etc...our page..now you've done things that I don't know how to do. the page looked good but I need to learn how to do all that. 2009-10-05 14:35:25 Brad! You're the first person to get that comment! I've seen a couple "class project" wikis pop up, and I even helped a couple of them. I figured somebody would get the "uh... why did you edit this cooperatively edited site?" response eventually. (For the record, there are a couple class projects out there run by teachers and professors who "get it" and incorporate participation by outside editors as part of the lesson in how cooperative editing works. Most are even projects designed to build useful wikis that can persist as community resources after the class is over). —JabberWokky
