= Vision =
The Wiki Spot project is a multicommunity, non-profit effort to help communities collaborate via wikis.  With this in mind, we intend to keep Wiki Spot completely free and, equally importantly, free from banner ads and other advertising.  Forever.  But we need your help!

= Costs =
Regardless of intentions, running Wiki Spot is not a free enterprise.  Aside from the time spent coding features and regular site maintenance, we do need to pay for ["System Info" hosting] and hardware costs.  These costs are not tremendous but they are non-zero.  Currently, it costs us around $60/month for our ["System Info" hosting] (see our ["Budget" budgets] if you're interested).  So we ask -- if you think what we provide is valuable and want to help keep things running for as long as possible -- that you make a contribution.  The money is used exclusively for site matters, as we are a non-profit organization.

We are ["organizational plans" currently working on obtaining] legal non-profit (503(c)3) status so that your future donations will be tax-deductible.  If you can help us with this process, please jump in!
